Every request is fetched through a URL signed for one video, one session and one short window, and the player is handed a fresh signature long before the old one runs out. A copied link is dead before it can be pasted, and dead immediately in another browser, on another address.
Real-time pacing
A rate limit asks how fast. Pacing asks how far ahead of real time — and that is the question that separates a viewer from a downloader. Veylcast counts the distinct segments a session has taken and refuses to let it run further ahead of the clock than watching would. Rewatching, seeking back and quality switches stay free. A one-hour film now takes an hour to steal.
Forensic watermark
No web page can stop a camera pointed at a screen. So every frame carries the viewer's name, address, the time and a short session id, drifting to a new position every seven seconds so it cannot be cropped away. A leaked recording resolves to one account, one session and one IP in the console.
